Versatile
Versatile is rarely seen in competitive play anymore because of Mew EX's low health, however it is actually one of the best abilities ever printed. Versatile allows you to copy the attacks of any Pokemon in play as long as you have the proper energy. This can give you a fifth of your main attacker, allow you to copy attacks on your opponent's Pokemon, or allow you to copy your own attack to hit for a different weakness.
Replace
There really isn't much to say about Replace, it's just all around a bad attack especially because most of the decks you play it in won't use Psychic energy.
Weakness and Type
Both Mew's weakness and type are psychic which is good and bad. Psychic is a great type to be hitting for, you have weakness on Buzzwole GX, Marshadow GX, Espeon GX, Garbodor, etc. Also, being a psychic type ine xpanded means that whatever attack Mew copies will cost one colorless energy less. However being weak to psychic means you get hit for weakness against Pumpkaboo, Espeon GX, Garbodor, etc. The nice thing about Mew being a psychic type though is that it means fighting weak decks can play Mew EX to counter attackers like Buzzwole GX.

Competition
There are two cards that can replace Mew-EX in some decks. The first replaces is the regular Mew from Fates Collide. This card has a similar ability in that it can copy the attacks of any of your basic Pokemon and it's also hitting for psychic weakness; however Mew only has 50 HP and its ability is significantly worse although it only gives up one prize. The second alternative to Mew-EX is Mewtwo from Evolutions, it has 130 HP and for a single double colorless energy it can do 20+20 more damage for each energy attached to your opponent's active Pokemon. Mewtwo is bulkier than Mew so it may take a hit and it only gives up one prize but it likely won't be taking a one hit knockout in many situations where Mew-EX would.
